especially if you have back, leg, or related problems. Massage devices are great for relieving

stress.

What should I know about a handheld shower?

Handheld showers come in many different stlyles. You can get handheld showers to massage

your body. The showers enable you to adjust hard water, adjusting it to a light mist. In this

case, you are able to set the water to the desired level. Size counts, so you want to conside

the size in addition to the water pressure. The water pressure comes from the showerhead,

which you want to consider bathroom accessories that you can adjust.

Handheld showers give you a variety of reasons to choose the bathroom accessory. If you have a

handicap, or have someone handicap in your home, the handheld showers give you or the person

the option of controlling water pressure, movement, etc. If you are a caregiver, the handheld

shower is idea, since you can use one hand to hold up your patient and the other to control the

handheld. You can also put a bath chair in the tub for the person to rest, or for your self and

elax while the water dribbles down your flesh. The handheld showers are nice also, since you

can rinse your hair. It is frustrating when taking a bath, and dipping your head in dirty water to

inse. The handheld shower takes care of this.

How must do the handheld showers cost?

Some showerheads do not cost much, yet some showerheads can cost a small fortune. It

depends on where you shop, or what type of device you purchase. Most of the time, you can pick

the showerheads up at your local hardware stores or maybe at Wal-Mart

How do I install my handheld shower?

When installing your handheld shower there should be instructions to help you out but if not.its

not hard to do. The handheld showers typically hook up to your facet. You will likely have a

small clamp, which mounts to the side of your shower wall. If you need to drill holes, make sure

that you use a bond to seal the holes, securing it. If the holes fill with water, it can rust you

walls. You can use liquid cement or a silicone to seal the holes. This will stop the water from

going in the holes

How do I maintain my handheld shower?

Maintenance isnt hard to do, but like all showers, there s some maintenance required. Still,

the only thing you have to do is watch for rust build up and the lime. If this happens you can go

to your local hardware store and get a cleaner that will take care of this problem for you.

How can I protect my handheld shower?

When you want to cover the shower, you can always use a shower curtain to hide the shower.

Shower curtains come in many colors and patterns.

You will be able to find shower curtains to match your style of bathroom. You can find showe

curtains in all stores.

Once you choose your showerhead and curtains, you may want to go online and view images of

other bathroom accessories. You can find additional items online, which can enhance you

atmosphere.

Freighter hits fishing boat in Gulf of Suez; thirteen dead

Author:  |  Category: Uncategorized

Tuesday, December 16, 2014

A freighter hit a fishing boat around midnight on Sunday morning in the Gulf of Suez in the Red Sea. Of the 40 Egyptian fisherman on board, thirteen are dead and thirteen more missing.

Survivor Al Sayyed Mohamed Arafat told local media he jumped from the fishing boat, named Badr al-Islam, as the container ship approached. He says he hung onto a wooden crate for four hours before rescue. Local authorities have promised compensation to each survivor.

A vessel, flagged in Panama, suspected to be involved in the collision has been detained by the military. The army said yesterday one victim raised the alarm by phone and the military sent four boats and a helicopter to commence search and rescue off the Gabal al-Zayt coastline.

A plane has since joined the search. The military say the fishing boat lacked safety equipment for emergency communications.

The detained ship was found south of the Gulf, near the port of Safaga. It was carrying 220 tonnes of cargo according to the General Authority for the Red Sea Ports.

While they can be difficult to work with, and it may take repeated calls and transfers to find the correct people, if you persevere you can get help. Here is what they can offer:

1. They may waive late fees and charges for the length of the program. 2. Citibank may agree to begin reporting your monthly payments as on time so you start immediately improving your credit ratings. 3. The first payment on your plan may be slightly higher, but it may go lower. 4. They may also offer a match payment hardship program to select customers that you may or may not be eligible for. Financial institutions are frequently faced with situations where good borrowers are tripped up because of circumstances beyond their control. As a result, many financial institutions, including credit card companies, have a hardship program to help customers tide over a rough spot. A hardship program is similar to a loan workout, which helps restructure your debt to prevent you from defaulting. A credit card hardship program is different from a Payment Protection Plan, which is a paid service that will take over your credit card payments in case of unexpected events. In a credit card hardship program, youd offer to pay a fixed amount that you can afford on your credit card each month. In turn, your credit card company might lower the interest rate charged on your credit card account, lower your monthly payments to a level you can afford, or agree to delay payments for six to twelve months to give you a chance to get back on your feet.citibank hardship programhardship program help

Wikinews interviews 2020 Melbourne Lord Mayor Candidate Wayne Tseng

Author:  |  Category: Uncategorized
This article mentions the Wikimedia Foundation, one of its projects, or people related to it. Wikinews is a project of the Wikimedia Foundation.

Thursday, October 22, 2020

2020 Melbourne Lord Mayor candidate Wayne Tseng answered some questions about his campaign for the upcoming election from Wikinews. The Lord Mayor election in the Australian city is scheduled to take place this week.

Tseng runs a firm called eTranslate, which helps software developers to make the software available to the users. In the candidate’s questionnaire, Tseng said eTranslate had led to him working with all three tiers of the government. He previously belonged to the Australian Liberal Party, but has left since then, to run for mayorship as an independent candidate.

Tseng is of Chinese descent, having moved to Australia with his parents from Vietnam. Graduated in Brisbane, Tseng received his PhD in Melbourne and has been living in the city, he told Wikinews. Tseng also formed Chinese Precinct Chamber of Commerce, an organisation responsible for many “community bond building initiatives”, the Lord Mayor candidate told Wikinews.

Tseng discussed his plans for leading Melbourne, recovering from COVID-19, and “Democracy 2.0” to ensure concerns of minorities in the city were also heard. Tseng also focused on the importance of the multi-culture aspect and talked about making Melbourne the capital of the aboriginals. Tseng also explained why he thinks Melbourne is poised to be a world city by 2030.

Tseng’s deputy Lord Mayor candidate Gricol Yang is a Commercial Banker and works for ANZ Banking Group.

Currently, Sally Capp is the Lord Mayor of Melbourne, the Victorian capital. Capp was elected as an interim Lord Mayor in mid-2018 after the former Lord Mayor Robert Doyle resigned from his position after sexual assault allegations. Doyle served as the Lord Mayor of Melbourne for almost a decade since 2008.

Author:  |  Category: Uncategorized

Friday, February 15, 2008

Following the first day’s events at the 2008 Taipei International Book Exhibition (TIBE), organisers used today as an opportunity for a number of autograph sessions, the announcement of awards and a focus on the Taipei World Trade Center‘s Hall 3 where children’s activities and seminars were being held.

The Kids’ Book Hall, which was created with cooperation from the Regional Association of Educational Materials, saw a new addition this year in the form of the “Taiwan Stationery” pavilion. The display included a variety of paper products not only for children, but for small-business and general usage.

In order to promote some conceptions on environment and recycling, Yuen Foong Yu Paper Mfg. Co. Ltd. sponsored the exhibition with recycled poster container and corrugated-fiberboard, which was used to design several nature scenes, and the material will be reusable in the future.

Participants also held several seminars at TWTC Hall 1 for reading population promotion, for example, a Taiwanese version of a famous magazine named “Kagakuru”. Aimed at science education, imported by Taiwan Mac Education, and promoted by several academic professionals in Taiwan, the magazine will be released on March 3, 2008.

Bhringaraj In Ayurvedic Medicine

Author:  |  Category: Physiotherapy

By Danielle McLoughlin

Anyone who has researched hair loss remedies seeking treatments for hair growth may have heard of the Bhringraj plant. Also known as Eclipta alba, Eclipta prostrata, False Daisy and Yerba de tago, the Bhringraj plant is recognised by the Indian Ayurvedic medicine system as having widespread health benefits, including hair growth. In fact one translation of the word Bhringraj is ‘king of hair’.

As the Ayurvedic medicine system places so much faith in the hair growth properties of Bhringraj, it is important to understand the background to this traditional medicine system originating out of India.

The literal meaning of Ayurveda is ‘the knowledge for long life’, which gives an indication of the high regard that the Indian culture holds for Ayurveda medicine. The medicines and practices of Ayurveda have been cultivated for hundreds of years, culminating in the promotion of many alternative medicines and surgical procedures for many different illnesses. In addition to Bhringraj hair growth treatments, Bhringraj is also promoted by the Ayurvedic health system for more serious issues including problems with the heart, and blood circulation.

The main reason that Ayurveda holds so much respect is that it has divine origins, and thus carries much weight in Indian cultures. As far back as 1500BC, the basic principles of Ayurvedic medicine can be found in the Hindu religion, with no less than 114 hymns detailing various medicines for the treatment of many different diseases. Because of this, Indian medicine is known as one of the oldest forms of systematic documented medicines.

It is because of this respect going back hundreds of years that prescribing Bhringraj for hair loss is viewed in Indian cultures as it would be in any conventional medical practice outside of Asia. Until relatively recently the benefits of Bhringraj were largely confined to Indian and Chinese cultures, more recently though the value of the Bhringraj plant is being recognised more widely than just in Asia.

It is unsurprising to find that the Bhringraj plant features heavily in Ayurvedic medicine as Ayurveda concentrates on plant based medicines, with hundreds of different plants utilised in the system. Additionally the Ayurvedic system makes use of milk, bones, sulphur, copper and gold. Copper has widely recognised hair growth properties as it is a vital component in the health of the hair follicle.

When prescribing Bhringraj as a hair growth treatment it is usually applied in its oil or powder form. Bhringraj powder is a favourite prescription in India for hair loss remedies.

The list of benefits associated with the Bhringraj plant reported by Indian and Chinese medicine is quite wide ranging:

longevity

rejuvenation

bleeding

skin complaints (itching, eczema)

diphtheria

diarrhoea

concentration

nervous system / snake bites

liver

eyes

hair growth

Bhringraj oil and Bhringraj powder are prescriptions for hair loss treatment that have found favour for many years in Asia, and now are finding a new eager market outside of Asia, keen to benefit from its hair growth properties.

Bhringraj has therefore been noted as gaining widespread interest in North America and Europe. Thanks to the ancient medicinal system of Ayurvedic, Americans and Europeans are now benefiting from the hair growth properties of Bhringraj.

New kids’ drink sparkles up debate

Author:  |  Category: Uncategorized

Monday, April 23, 2007

A new drink called Robby Bubble has sparkled up some sparkled debate with distributors and Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) in Calgary, Alberta.

The drink, similar to sparkling wine, is a non-alcoholic sparkling drink which is currently for sale in Alberta liquor stores. The bottle has the words “Party, Party!” with cartoon characters. Their slogan is “Celebrate like the grown-ups” and is shaped as a champagne bottle. It is under the approval of the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission.

Tracy Franklin, president of MADD in Calgary, said: “It’s calling out to kids, but the whole thing is geared as a champagne bottle, as an alcohol product … Do we want to give them something, although it’s non-alcoholic, and have them partying like an adult?”

Other “adult products” marketed to children, such as candy cigarettes, have been banned in Canada. Studies have shown a link between the marketing of candy cigarettes to children and the promotion of smoking in later life. It had been shown that tobacco companies cooperated with candy manufacturers in the design of candy cigarettes.

The Tobacco Act legislation in Canada has eliminated the ability of companies to market tobacco-looking products to children. In Section 27, the Act states, “No person shall furnish or promote a tobacco product if any of its brand elements is displayed on a non-tobacco product, other than an accessory, or is used with a service, if the non-tobacco product or service is associated with young persons or could be construed on reasonable grounds to be appealing to young persons.”

President of the German company responsible for the distribution of Robby Bubble, Darryl Weinbren, defended his product saying it is non-alcoholic and parents are responsible for serving their children the drink.

“I can understand Mothers Against Drunk Driving, and certainly I respect their objectives and what they are after. There wasn’t any intention from our point of view to encourage kids to drink alcohol. It was just a matter of trying to find something that would meet a family celebration with something for their kids.”

A spokeswomen for the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission, Marilyn Carlyle-Helms, said liquor stores can distribute non-alcoholic drinks and if there were a health concern they would have disapproved them.

American Indian Movement spokesperson dies, age 75

Author:  |  Category: Uncategorized

Wednesday, October 17, 2007

Vernon Bellecourt, once the primary spokesperson for the American Indian Movement, died recently at age 75. Bellecourt, an Ojibwa who fought for Native rights, was perhaps best known for his opposition to Native names and mascots for sports teams.

First in the headlines in 1972, Bellecourt organized a cross-country caravan of the Movement, to Washington. Once there, members of the group occupied the Bureau of Indian Affairs offices. His goal of international recognition for Aboriginal nations and their treaties found him meeting with figures like Libyan Colonel Muammar el-Qaddafi, and Palestine’s Yasir Arafat. In 1977 Leonard Peltier was convicted and sentenced to two consecutive life terms for the murder of two FBI Agents during a 1975 shoot-out on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation; Bellecourt led the campaign to free him.

Most recently, he visited Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez, to discuss getting free or cheap heating oil for reservations.

His work as president of the National Coalition on Racism in Sports and Media made a much wider known mark, though. Bellecourt emphasized that he believed such names perpetuated racial stereotypes, clouding the real identities and problems facing natives.

Teams with native-related names could almost guarantee on Bellecourt showing up at major games. He twice burned an effigy of Chief Wahoo, the Cleveland Indians baseball team mascot, and both times was arrested. When the Washington Redskins of the National Football League made the Super Bowl, Vernon was there to protest. The United States Commission on Civil Rights was critical of such names by 2001, calling them “insensitive in light of the long history of forced assimilation”. Some newspapers have stopped using the names of teams with Native origins.

None of his “big four” targets have shown any indication of changing: the Washington Redskins, the Kansas City Chiefs, the Cleveland Indians or the Atlanta Braves.

Post-season use of American Indian mascots were banned by the National Collegiate Athletic Association in 2005, suggesting the names are “hostile or abusive”. Bellecourt was pleased with the NCAA sanctions, but suggested such actions were only going “half way”.

The Florida State Seminole and the Illinois Illini were among the 18 colleges affected by the ban. Florida president T.K. Wetherell threatened legal action in response. The Florida Seminole tribes have endorsed the University’s usage of the name, but some out-of-state tribes were “not supportive”, according to the NCAA vice president for diversity and inclusion.

Born WaBun-Inini, Bellecourt died from complications of pneumonia on October 13, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States.
